I was looking for something casual, comfortable, and cool. My Teva's have good support and still look classy. I deal with plantar fasciitis and these help me a lot. Thinking about getting the black ones too.
I originally purchased a 12M, based on my normal dress shoe size, and found it to be about 1/2 size too small. I returned and ordered the 13M, which is just a tad big, but manageable with the available strap and bungee cord adjustments.
I actually bought my pair on a whim--I was looking for something that would cover my toes. While the material on the Tevas is not rubber, just the cover from the sun and protection from incidental contact proved valuable enough for me. You can still stub your toe in them, but you have to hit a little harder.
I bought this shoe just before I travelled for three months in Southeast Asia backpacking. It turned out to be a wonderful choice. It gave my foot good protection and worked both as a sandal and hiker. Gramercy shoes by Aetrex. It was easy to clean and looked great after plus dried very quickly. It was really important to be able to thoroughly clean the shoe as I encountered lots of different terain etc. It meant that I only had to carry one pair of shoes on my pack which eased the load for me. The shoe is in great shape yet and will likely serve me for a long time yet.
Fit is very good. This shoe seems rugged and comfortable enough to handle cutting grass in, while still offering more protection than a sandal. I think it can handle any experience you toss at it from an outdoor perspective. Aetrex Gramercy Slip on. Quality seems very good. If you have the black, and wear black socks, it pretty much wears like a regular tennis shoe, with much more comfort.
